Our History

Established in 1927, Alabama Goodwill Industries has been dedicated to empowering individuals through employment opportunities for nearly a century. Over the decades, we've expanded our services to meet the evolving needs of our community, always adhering to our philosophy of offering a "hand up, not a hand out." ​

Our Services

We provide a range of programs aimed at enhancing employability and self-sufficiency, including job training, readiness classes, and placement services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Our Impact

In 2023, Alabama Goodwill Industries served 808 unique individuals, provided 20,260 hours of training, and employed 528 team members. We diverted 19 million pounds of goods from local landfills, reflecting our commitment to environmental sustainability.
