I love what Goodwill stands for and everything about it. The hand up, not a handout theory means a lot to people. The work that we do serving inside and outside to the customers and to the community is so amazing that I needed to be a part of that. I wanted to be a part of a system that does what is said and a company that stands behind that. Why not choose Goodwill?
My youngest son was murdered a year ago; my brother passed in December and was homeless. I was broken and wounded. I walked into a Goodwill and applied because I needed a job, but they gave me a home, they gave me love and a future.
The wonderful team here has changed so many of my bad days, and I don’t think they know it. With the smiles and the kind words and the acknowledgement that I am somebody and not just a person who works here. If I had to choose a job all over it would still be Alabama Goodwill
