Meet
Broderick Hale
Broderick’s journey with Alabama Goodwill began in high school through the Birmingham City Schools Community-Based Instruction Program — a program that takes classroom learning into real workplaces, so students with disabilities can build the skills they’ll need for life after graduation. Goodwill welcomed him as one of those real-world classrooms, giving him hands-on experience alongside our team members.
When students complete the program, some take those skills into new opportunities elsewhere — others stay and build their careers right here with Goodwill. Brodrick chose to stay, and what started as a student opportunity has grown into a 19-year career that continues today.
“I’m proud to be part of an organization that has believed in me from the very beginning,” Brodrick says, “shaping my future through growth, purpose, and lasting memories.”
