Veteran Team Member is recognized as Employee of the Year

The Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center (TVAMC) awards Alabama Goodwill’s Team Member and Veteran, Terrance Cabbil, as Employee of the Year, and awards Alabama Goodwill as Employer of the Year. Terrance Cabbil is a team member in Alabama Goodwill’s Tuscaloosa location and is supported by the TVAMC. Terrance reflects TVAMC’s mission, which is to serve America’s Heroes by improving their health and well-being through Veteran and Family-Centered Care.

Sandra King, AL Goodwill Team Leader Coach of Tuscaloosa, says Terrance is a “very hard-working, dedicated and loyal man.” She has witnessed his growth since being hired and states, “He is always eager to help anyone with anything. He has worked hard to be where he is, and we are so thankful for him.”

Michael Lavender, Terrance’s Employment Specialist at the TVAMC, recognized his perseverance and awarded him the Employee of the Year Award. Due to Alabama Goodwill's continuous support to people with barriers to employment, the TVAMC also awarded the nonprofit organization Employer of the Year.

“I’m very thankful for the reward and proud of myself and all who have helped me along the way” Terrance states, “I thoroughly enjoy working at AGI.”

Terrance Cabbil and Sandra King were accompanied by Alabama Goodwill President and CEO, David Wells, and were presented with the Employee of the Year and Employer of the Year awards from Michael Lavender.
